Hosteria Del Monasterio De San Millan, San Millán de La Cogolla

A new 4 star hotel held its grand opening in 1995. The Hostería del Monasterio de San Millán was constructed in a wing of the famous Yuso Monastery in San Millán de la Cogolla. The new hostería is located in the historic cradle of both Castillian Spanish and Euskera languages. The Aemilianensis Codex 60, written in this location in the 10th century contains within its pages the oldest texts known in either language. This elegant hotel is in the heart of the high Rioja which is acclaimed for producing some of the best wines in the world. Visitors can enjoy sampling local wine cellars and selecting from the superior quality vintage of the area.
